Marco is one talented dog and a true gift in my life. He arrived at 8 weeks old and he’s been working hard ever since. Marco has competed in a variety of sports including Rally Obedience, Agility and Disc Dog. He picks up on new things quickly and loves to show off his skills. Marco has made appearances on television as well as Expos for both agility and disc.

He’s helped me with countless dogs suffering from reactivity, fear and aggression. He’s also my number one puppy socializer. He has a big heart and is able to listen even under extraordinary circumstances. He loves having a job to do all the time even if it’s just supervising our other dogs while on a walk.

Sadly this year Marco has retired from dog sports due to a health condition. He’s enjoying the retirement life by hiking, playing with my other pups and the occasional disc play session. Marco did pass his Temperament Test from the BC SPCA and is now an approved Humane Education Volunteer. Marco’s new job will be teaching children of all ages about kindness to animals and safety as he will be part of the BC SPCA’s Dog Bite Prevention courses.

Achievements:

Rally Obedience – earned titles in Novice, Advance and Team. Has competed to the Excellent level in CARO and CKC.

Canine Good Neighbour certificate
Herding Instinct Test
Agility – earned titles in Starters and Advanced. Has competed in Masters level. Attended 2016 AB/NWT Regionals and earned a 5th place in Jumpers
Disc Dog – competed in 2015 & 2016, qualified for Worlds both years with Up Dog Challenge. Has competed and medalled with UFO as well.
