
Tracking an amazing sport where you teach your dog to follow a trail. It’s an amazing brain work out as well as a great way to spend some time outdoors. Tracking is an excellent activity for dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities. Our tracking class is set up to be safe for dogs with reactivity concerns as well as we only work with one dog at a time. If your dog has a nose then you’re ready to go!
Puppies and dogs will learn to follow a double laid and single laid track for toys and other items such as gloves and keys. This class is limited to 4 dogs and runs for 4 weeks.
Cost $185 for 4 weeks. All classes are limited to 4 teams (1 team = 1 dog/1 human). Advanced is typically 1.5 hours long and Intro and Novice are typically 60-75 minutes long.
Intro to Tracking
Mondays at 6:30pm, May 1, 8, 15 and 29. No class on May 22.
This class is suitable for dogs and handlers who have no experience with tracking. We teach you how to lay a track, handle turns and build drive to get to the end. It’s suitable for dogs of all ages.
Novice Tracking
Mondays at 5pm, May 1, 8, 15 and 29. No class on May 22.
This class is suitable for dogs who have completed our Intro to Tracking class. Dogs should been working primarily on scent and be able to handle longer tracks with multiple scent items.
Advanced Tracking & Man Trailing
Tuesdays at 4pm, May 2, 9, 16 and 23.
Tuesdays at 5:30pm, May 2, 9, 16 and 23.
This class is for our students who have completed Novice Tracking and no longer need food reinforcement left on their track in any capacity.
